I sit here in Syracuse, NY in Aunt Patti's basement writing this blog. Tonight denotes the end of two weeks of vacation for us. Two down, two to go. I am exhausted from vacation. We have done so much and visited sooo many good friends and family.
When I last blogged, we were heading to visit some of my old friends from grade school. It turned out to be a really nice visit with my old buddies. They weirded me out with stories of the past. My brain hurt to go back so far, but I vaguely remember some of the stories, the details being very fuzzy. I wish we had more time to reminiscence but we ran out of time. I hope to reconnect with them again at another visit. (I will have pictures of that visit in a latter blog)
The kids have been meeting a lot of new people and they have been great at traveling. We rented a minivan to tour New York state. A van without a DVD player. That's right, no entertainment on board. I am happy to report that the kids are indeed still alive and there hasn't been a whole lot of whining while in transit. We have been to Poughkeepsie, Utica, Syracuse and Rochester. That is almost from bottom to top!
In a couple of days, we will be lightening our load and leaving Bob in Syracuse and heading to the Adirondacks to Covewood Lodge. Check it out at www.covewoodlodge.com.
