Covewood 2008

After leaving Bob behind in Syracuse to get reacquainted with his old friends, the kids and I headed towards the mountains of New York. As we drove there I was a little apprehensive to 'do this thing', as I wasn't looking forward to dealing with the kids' issues alone (aka without Bob).

But, alas, all four of us got off the interstate and met up with Don and Randi and kids, at where else, but the Applebees in Utica, NY.

Two hours or so later, we made it to Eagle Bay (a few miles away from Covewood) and low and behold, we saw my parents coming out of a restaurant. I honked the horn and waved. My father gave me the finger, so naturally, I kept going towards the light of Covewood. (Come to find out he was worried about Don and Randi taking so long to get there, but we re-hashed that whole argument enough!). Minutes later, we finally arrived at the Covewood Lodge on Big Moose Lake!

Whilst in the Adirondacks we did a whole bunch of things! We fished, hiked, played, saw bear and deer, swam, boated, tie-dyed, and became one with nature. The kids loved Covewood this year and they were able to use the kids' club to it's fullest advantage.

I think this is the first year, where when I looked back on the trip I actually said "I'll be back!!"

My HUGE fish!
