Angels. When I think of angels, I think of a cute fat baby sitting on a cloud playing a harp while watching the line at St. Peter's gate. Down here on Earth, angels can take different forms and sometimes not all of their actions are angelic.

Some Earthly angels give promises that we hope they can keep, like restoring hope of a better future and seeing a world without fear (or at least without THIS much fear). Some of the human formed angels can make you laugh and forget your problems for two hours straight . A few more of angels seem to be put on Earth just for the sake of helping others and doing for others, thinking of themselves last and others first.

We all have different angels in our lives for different reasons. God sends them to us so that we can follow our destiny. Sometimes, these angels test you but most always they are put in your lives to teach you a great lesson to keep you on that path that He laid out for you.

My closest, little angel keeps trying to teach me patience and love. Patience and love. Simple, right? No. I am having a dickens of a time learning these things. It seems easy, but then the path takes a sharp turn and takes me off my game. With my angel, I sometimes can get right back on the path but other times it can take weeks to ease on down the road.

I know how to see the angel(s) in my life. I swear they are easier to detect once I let my guard down and I choose to smile instead of frown. The days when I wake up and choose to see the good instead of focusing on the bad. It happens when I let the mess happen and get my hands dirty.

For now, I will keep hoping that I see more days with lots of little angels so that I can see those other chubby, tiny angels playing beautiful music on light and fluffy clouds.
